Martin Beck Nworah Sunday, July 20, 2014 2

The social media is one hot place that connects almost 6 billion people in the whole world. It is projected that the last one billion will be connected before the end of 2020 and what this means for everyone on earth is that our online life will be pretty much important as our physical life. It really calls for caution and attention to details. Below are the three reasons I feel it is important we use our real pictures.
1. Opportunities
It is called an open platform and you don't know who may be lurking around...your boss, future wife, that man from high school whom you owe a couple of bucks or your side chick. You just have to look yourself so that the person can really know who he or she is dealing with. When you use Flowers as your display picture, I wonder whether you love nature truly or just down right ugly.
2. Courtesy
Whether you like it or not, people want to know you. That's why celebrities and public figures don't use your own picture as their display picture on social media. I know you're a die-hard fan, but just put up your own picture...we can deal with your ugly face. Don't whine!!!
Courtesy simply demands you don't appear as an anonymous. Use your picture.
3. Reality
Be real. Be yourself. Hiding behind an anonymous picture will not make your pain go away neither will it help you to get back at your ex. Either ways, you are the one getting hurt. So just grow up and start using your own picture on social media.
Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.
