Martin Beck Nworah Sunday, November 13, 2016 4

On Saturday, November 12th, I spoke to a cross section of Anambra youths in the traditional media industry and those aspiring to join them at Blaze FM Oraifite. It was a wonderful experience as I exchanged ideas with them and spoke to them about, "21st Social Media Street, Internet Town". It was centered around the use and manipulations on social media.

I so much believe we can cause the positive turn around of events we want in our society and state but that won't be possible if we keep waiting for others to do it for us. We need to pro actively decide for ourselves, the kind of future we want so we won't end up telling our younger ones, "if I had the kind of opportunity you have..."
Believe me, that statement sucks.

For the sake of our tomorrow, let us invest in ourselves. Don't blame the government for not giving you jobs, make yourself worthy of being employed. In Anambra State today, once you are gifted, talented and making serious efforts, people will notice you and recommend you to the right individuals. For the sake of our future, stop complaining and start making effort to be better.

I want to keep my message very short and straight to the point. Today, for the sake of our future, I encourage you to take charge of your life.  Stop complaining about the opportunities you lost in the past and keep on moving ahead. Better things and better opportunities will come. Keep making effort and always remember to pray.

Be strong. Be bold. You will win!

Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.
