Martin Beck Nworah Tuesday, February 05, 2019 7

Dear friend,

For a very long time, I have been consumed with deep thoughts on how best to share the real life stories of random everyday Nigerians, living their life and doing simple things.

I strongly believe that sharing these stories about people would motivate so many of us to think about life and the decisions we make at different times.

I have also been a very keen follower of Brandon Stanton's work at Humans of New York since 2011. I have marveled at his wonderful work and imagined if we can have something of such here in Nigeria and by extension, Africa. And yes, we are getting it right now!

This passion led me to create Tales of Nigerians (TON) about 3 months ago. And to test acceptability of the idea, we created a community/group on Facebook for people to share their real life stories by themselves.

It was and is still a massive success, with a growing community of people freely sharing everything without being judged or ridiculed.

Having achieved a good level of acceptance, I am finally launching the full street interview of random everyday people on the official Tales of Nigerians page.

You can click here to like and follow the page: Tales Of Nigerians

From 1st February 2019, we shall start publishing everyday short stories of everyday people with their portrait.

It is my honest intention that these real life stories will engage us and open up conversations on how we can better manage our society.

Thank you so very much for always being here.

Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.
